Royals Sign Christiansen, Kemp

READING, Pa. – The Reading Royals announced that they have signed right wing Doug Christiansen (pictured) and defenseman T.J. Kemp.

The 27-year-old Christiansen played his first two professional seasons in the ECHL, accumulating 45 points (23g-22a) and 137 penalty minutes in 126 games with Mississippi, Columbia, Augusta and Charlotte.

In 2004-05, he had 62 points (24g-38a) and 164 penalty minutes in 77 games and six points (3g-3a) and 23 penalty minutes in 11 playoff games with Danbury of the United Hockey League. He also had seven penalty minutes in two games with Manchester of the AHL and also played one game with Bridgeport in the AHL.

Kemp played four seasons at Mercyhurst College where he had 100 points (32g-68a) and 177 penalty minutes in 133 games. In 2004-05, he had 28 points (10g-18a) and 78 penalty minutes in 31 games with Mercyhurst and then signed with Missouri in the UHL where he scored three points (1g-2a) in six games.
