READING, Pa. – The Reading Royals announced that they have signed goaltender Cody Rudkowsky.
The 27-year-old Rudkowsky played 20 games for the Royals in 2004-05, posting an 8-11-1 record with a 2.17 goals-against average and .919 save percentage. He also appeared in 14 games with Providence of the American Hockey League, going 4-7-2 with a 3.20 goals-against average.
The 6-1 and 215-pound goaltender made his National Hockey League debut in 2002-03 with the St. Louis Blues making 10 saves and getting the win.
A native of Willington, Alberta, Rudkowski has the record for most games played for the Royals with a record of 32-29-7 and a 2.28 goals-against average. He led the Royals to within one game of the Kelly Cup Finals in 2003, while improving his postseason record to 8-6-0 and a 2.02 goals-against average and .937 save percentage.
