Ruggeri Assigned From Phantoms To Trenton

TRENTON, N.J. – The Trenton Titans announced that defenseman Rosario Ruggeri has been assigned from the Philadelphia Phantoms of the American Hockey League.

The Titans are the ECHL affiliate of the Phantoms and the Lowell Devils of the AHL and the New Jersey Devils and the Philadelphia Phantoms of the National Hockey League.

Selected in the fourth round (105th overall) by Philadelphia in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft and under NHL contract to the Flyers, the 22-year-old was reassigned on Oct. 19 and has played in two games with the Phantoms.

In his third professional season, the 6-foot-1 and 214-pound Ruggeri has 24 points (4g-20a) and 105 penalty minutes in 81 regular season games and two assists and 26 penalty minutes in 20 games in the Kelly Cup Playoffs for Trenton while registering two penalty minutes in nine games for the Phantoms.
