Rush joins Kalamazoo blue line


Kalamazoo, Mich. – The
Kalamazoo Wings announced that they have signed defenseman Jarrett Rush.

The K-Wings are the ECHL affiliate of the St. Louis Blues and Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League and the Chicago Wolves and Utica Comets of the American Hockey League.

Rush joins the K-Wings after starting this season in the Southern Professional Hockey League, where he was team captain of the Peoria Rivermen. Rush has earned six points (1g-5a) in 27 games in Peoria. Last season, Rush was well traveled playing for five teams including four (Colorado, Elmira, Orlando and South Carolina) ECHL clubs. The native of Pennington, N.J. finished last season in Colorado, where he played in 28 regular season and three playoff contests for the Eagles.

Before turning pro, Rush played four seasons of college hockey, primarily with Curry College, where he was team captain. Rush also played two seasons of junior hockey with the Cobourg Cougars (OPJHL) and Traverse City North Stars (NAHL).
