Sabres Sign Cowan

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Buffalo Sabres of the National Hockey League announced that they have signed former ECHL forward Jeff Cowan.

The 32 year old began his professional career in the ECHL in 1996-97 and had 34 points (21g-13a) in 47 games with Roanoke before being called up to the AHL where he had 10 points (5g-5a) in 22 games for Saint John.

He has played eight seasons in the NHL and has 81 points (47g-37a) and 95 penalty minutes in 413 games with Atlanta, Calgary, Los Angeles and Vancouver.
