Salmon Kings Sign Lingren

VICTORIA, British Columbia – The Victoria Salmon Kings announced that they have signed defenseman Steve Lingren, who played three seasons with the Victoria Cougars of the Western Hockey League from 1991-94.

In 2004-05 with Rochester in the American Hockey League, the 32-year-old had five points (1g-4a) and 74 penalty minutes in 52 regular season games and also played in two playoff games.

In the ECHL with Dayton, the 6-foot and 185-pound Lingren had 84 points (28g-56a) and 226 penalty minutes in 124 regular season games and 10 points (2g-8a) in nine postseason games.

In 12 professional seasons in the ECHL, the AHL, the International Hockey League and Europe, Lingren has 248 points (85g-163a) and 865 penalty minutes in 646 regular season games and 33 points (9g-24a) in 68 playoff games.
