Sharks Assign Holden, Deschamps To Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Falcons announced that they have been assigned goaltender Jamie Holden and defenseman Matt Deschamps by the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League.

Holden and Deschamps come to the Falcons after attending the Sharks rookie camp and training camp with the Cleveland Barons of the American Hockey League. Fresno is the ECHL affiliate of the Sharks and the Barons.

Holden played four seasons at Quinnipiac College where he finished his career as the school’s career leader in saves (2,879), goals-against average (2.49), wins (59), shutouts (7) and save percentage (.921).

Signed by Atlantic City after completing his college career at the University of Maine, the 25-year-old Deschamps played in four regular season games and had one assist in three Kelly Cup Playoff games for the Bullies.
