Sivak was even or better in nine of 11 games during December including a +4 in a 4-1 at Colorado on Jan. 25 and +3 ratings in a 6-5 overtime loss at San Francisco on Jan. 10 and in a 5-2 victory over Las Vegas on Jan. 15.
The 31-year-old is second in the ECHL in plus-minus at +27. He leads the Aces, and is tied for second in the league with 46 points (14g-32a). His 32 assists are second in the league and he is tied for fourth with 139 shots on goal. He also has appeared in three games this season with Abbotsford of the American Hockey League.
A native of Cheb, Czech Republic, Sivak has 102 points (47g-55a) in 101 career ECHL games with Alaska and San Francisco and he has added five points (4g-1a) in 12 career AHL games with Abbotsford and Worcester. Prior to coming to North America last season, he skated in 576 career games in the Slovakian and Czech Extraliga leagues, amassing 232 points (110g-122a).
