Smyth returning to Cyclones
CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Cincinnati Cyclones, ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced today that they have agreed to terms with forward Matt Smyth for the 2013-14 season.
Smyth, an Orlando, Fla. native, notched 15 points (9g-6a) in 24 games with the Cyclones during the 2012-13 campaign. He also appeared in three contests with the Orlando Solar Bears and collected an assist.
Smyth played his junior hockey in the OHL, OPHJL, and OJHL – where he amassed 267 points (120g-147a) in 261 games over a five-year span.
