Springfield Signs Lynes

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League announced that they have signed rookie forward Luke Lynes, who began his professional career in the ECHL with Stockton in 2007-08.

The Stockton Thunder are the ECHL affiliate of the Falcons of the AHL and the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League.

Selected in the fourth round (122nd overall) by the Washington Capitals in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, the 20 year old played two games with the Thunder after completing his career in the Ontario Hockey League where he had 215 points (100g-115a) and 233 penalty minutes in 269 regular season games and 12 points (4g-8a) and 25 penalty minutes in 26 playoff games for Brampton.
