Steelheads’ Bembridge Named In Glas Co
ECHL Player Of The Week

PRINCETON, N.J. – Garett Bembridge of the Idaho Steelheads is the In Glas Co ECHL Player of the Week for November 21-27.

The 24-year-old had seven points, (3g-4a) and was a +4 in two games against then West Division leader Utah. Playing the first of two games on back-to-back nights, Bembridge scored an ECHL season-high six points, including a hat trick, to give Idaho a 7-4 win on Nov. 25, snapping Utah’s nine-game winning streak. Bembridge had an assist in a 5-1 win against the Grizzlies on Nov. 26 to help Idaho improve its record to 12-3-1 and take over first place in the West Division.

Selected in the fifth round (137th overall) by the New York Rangers in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft and again in the seventh round (207th overall) by the Calgary Flames in the 2001 Entry Draft, the 6-foot and 190-pound Bembridge leads the ECHL with 13 goals and 28 points in 16 games and leads the Steelheads the last five games with 12 points (6g-6a) and a plus-minus rating of +7.
