BOISE, Idaho – The Idaho Steelheads announced that it has partnered with the Boise Rotary Club for the “Adopt-A-Duck Shootout” benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Idaho.
The Steelheads are the ECHL affiliate of the Dallas Stars of the National Hockey League and the Iowa Stars of the American Hockey League.
Fans have the opportunity to adopt rubber ducks which will be shot into nets by Mighty Mite hockey players during the first intermission of Saturday’s game.
The ducks in the nets will then be shot toward center ice by children from Make-A-Wish and local celebrities with the duck landing closest to the center winning the grand prize of a plasma-screen television from RC Willey.
Each duck costs $5 and can be adopted at the game on Saturday or online at www.DuckRace.com/Boise.
