Steelheads Receive Bararuk,
Fahey From Iowa

BOISE, Idaho – The Idaho Steelheads announced that they have been assigned left wing David Bararuk and ECHL All-Star defenseman Brian Fahey by the Iowa Stars of the American Hockey League.

The Steelheads are the ECHL affiliate of Iowa of the AHL and the Dallas Stars of the National Hockey League.

Selected in the fifth round (147th overall) by Dallas in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, the 22-year-old Bararuk was instrumental in helping Idaho capture the Kelly Cup in 2004 scoring 14 points (5g-9a) in 15 Kelly Cup Playoff games.

Selected in the fourth round (119th overall) by the Colorado Avalanche in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, the 6-foot-1 and 210-pound Fahey finished fifth in voting for ECHL Rookie of the Year and ECHL Defenseman of the Year and was named to the ECHL All-Rookie Team in 2003-04 after finishing with 26 points (10g-16a) in 46 regular season games and three assists in two Kelly Cup Playoff games with Atlantic while also registering four assists in 20 games with Worcester of the AHL.
