BOISE, Idaho – The Idaho Steelheads announced that rookie left wing Janos Vas (pictured) and rookie right wing B.J. Crombeen have been assigned from the Iowa Stars of the American Hockey League and that forward Mike Stutzel has left the team to play in Europe.
The Steelheads are the ECHL affiliate of the Iowa Stars of the AHL and the Dallas Stars of the National Hockey League.
Selected in the second round (32nd overall) by Dallas in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft and under contract to the NHL Stars, the 22-year-old Vas has five points (2g-3a) in five games with Idaho and five points (1g-4a) in 21 games with Iowa.
Selected in the second round (54th overall) by Dallas in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft and under contract to the NHL Stars, the 20-year-old Crombeen has 10 points (4g-6a) and 60 penalty minutes in 34 games with Iowa.
