Steelheads Will Use Road Trip To Get Acquainted

BOISE, Idaho – The next time the Idaho Steelheads play a home game, we’ll know who the next president of the United States will be.

Idaho, which plays tonight at the Phoenix RoadRunners, starts a six-game road swing that’ll take the team across the country and back.

With only one game under their belt, this road trip will start to define the Steelheads, for better or worse.

After Wednesday, they’ll play the RoadRunners again Friday night, then come back home for a brief rest before heading out to New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey where they have four games in five days.

“I think it’s perfect timing to go on the road,” veteran defenseman Darrell Hay said. “We go back East, it’s a long trip, it’s a long time to get to know each other, a lot of time to bond and build our chemistry.”
