Stingrays Acquire Parley From Bakersfield

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. – The South Carolina Stingrays announced that they have traded veteran forward Joel Irving to the Bakersfield Condors in exchange for goaltender Davis Parley.

Selected in the fourth round (120th overall) by the Florida Panthers in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, the 6-foot-2 and 183-pound Parley is 2-3-1 with a goals-against average of 3.78 and a save percentage of .879 in six games for the Condors.

In 2004-05, the 23-year-old Parley was 3-2-1 with a goals-against average of 2.87 and a save percentage of .922 in six regular season games and 2-3 with a goals-against average of 3.88 and a save percentage of .897 in five Kelly Cup Playoff games for Bakersfield. He began the season with the Texas Wildcatters and was 5-13-7 with a 3.50 goals-against average and .916 save percentage in 27 games.
