Stingrays Acquire Schwabe From Las Vegas

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. – The South Carolina Stingrays announced that they have acquired center Evan Schwabe from the Las Vegas Wranglers in exchange for future considerations.

Schwabe, who is expected to join the Stingrays next week, has played one game with the Wranglers and had two penalty minutes.

Schwabe played four seasons at the University of Minnesota-Duluth and finished among the top two scorers on the team as a junior and senior while ranking as one of the top collegiate scorers, posting 102 points (38g-64a) in his final 83 games. Named Second Team All-Western Collegiate Hockey Association each of his last two seasons, the 5-9 and 165-pound Schwabe led the team as a junior with a career-high 45 points on career bests of 19 goals and 26 assists.
