Stingrays Beat Augusta 4-3

CHARLESTON, S.C. – Rookie Ty Morris scored two goals and rookie John Hecimovic scored the game-winning goal as the South Carolina Stingrays overcame a 3-0 deficit to beat the Augusta Lynx 4-3 in a preseason game in front of a jam-packed Carolina Ice Palace on Saturday.

With Augusta leading 3-0 on goals by Paul Kelly, Shaun Fisher and Dan Sullivan, Morris scored at 8:39 of the second period, assisted by Captain Trevor Johnson, and 10 minutes later Jeff Legue scored to make it 3-2.

Morris tied the game 3-3 with a goal at 7:13 of the third and Hecimovic scored the game winner after taking a feed from Robin Gomez.
