Stingrays’ Brown Recalled To Providence

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. – The South Carolina Stingrays announced that rookie goaltender Mike Brown has been recalled by the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League.

The 20-year-old has played one game for the Stingrays making 39 saves in a 5-4 shootout loss to Columbia.

Selected in the fifth round (153rd overall) by the Boston Bruins in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, the 6-foot and 200-pound Brown was 17-9-6 with a goals-against average of 2.48 and a save percentage of .931 in 33 games with Owen Sound of the Ontario Hockey League.
