NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. – The South Carolina Stingrays announced that they will hold their first-annual “Pink in the Rink” on Friday when they host the Charlotte Checkers.
The Stingrays will wear specially-designed and limited-edition pink jerseys that will be auctioned during the game through a silent auction.
Proceeds from the auction will benefit the American Cancer Society which will also receive a portion of all tickets sold through its organization.
In addition to the “Pink in the Rink” promotion, the team will also have “Ladies Night” on Friday with one lucky woman receiving a diamond. The first 1,000 women entering the arena will be given a “diamond” which can be taken to Barry’s Jewelers to find out if it is authentic.
There will also be a bridal show, sponsored by Carlson Wagonlit, beginning at 5:30 p.m. and continuing throughout the game.
