Stingrays’ Kiser Called Up To Albany

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. – The South Carolina Stingrays announced that defenseman Nate Kiser has been called up to the Albany River Rats of the American Hockey League.

Selected in the fifth round (160th overall) by the Phoenix Coyotes in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft and in his third professional season, the 23-year-old has four assists and 86 penalty minutes in 30 games with South Carolina.

Kiser, who spent training camp with the Chicago Wolves of the AHL, had 29 penalty minutes in five games with Portland of the AHL in 2004-05 and one assist and 14 penalty minutes in five games with Syracuse of the AHL in 2003-04.
