Stingrays Receive Labelle From Hershey,
Brown Recalled To Providence

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. – The South Carolina Stingrays announced that right wing Eric Labelle (pictured) has been assigned from the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League and that goaltender Mike Brown has been recalled by the Providence Bruins of the AHL.

Labelle is expected to be in uniform for the Stingrays on Wednesday against Charlotte while Brown’s call up makes room for goaltender Davis Parley, who was acquired on Tuesday from the Bakersfield Condors in exchange for forward Joel Irving.

The 24-year-old Labelle played in the AHL in 2004-05 and had three points (2g-1a) and 56 penalty minutes in 14 games with Utah and 14 penalty minutes in two games with Milwaukee while also playing in the United Hockey League where he had 17 points (10g-7a) and 390 penalty minutes in 67 regular season games and two points (1g-1a) and 64 penalty minutes in 11 playoff games for Rockford.
