Stingrays Sign Spina, Legue

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. – The South Carolina Stingrays announced that they have signed rookie forwards Dave Spina and Jeff Legue (pictured).

South Carolina is the ECHL affiliate of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League and the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League.

The 22-year-old Spina played nine games with Utah of the AHL in 2004-05 after completing his season at Boston College. In four years at Boston College, the 5-foot-11 and 185-pound Spina had 103 points (49g-54a) in 138 games.

The 5-foot-11 and 170-pound Legue played four seasons at Ferris State University scoring 157 points (67g-90a) in 152 career games, including 2002-03 when he had his best season offensively scoring 24 goals, 35 assists and 59 points in 42 games.
