Stingrays Trade Clapton To Long Beach

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. – The South Carolina Stingrays announced that they have traded veteran forward Marty Clapton to the Long Beach Ice Dogs as part of a three-team trade that also involves the Peoria Rivermen, who will send left wing Phil Lewandowski to Peoria. The Stingrays will receive future considerations from Peoria.

Clapton has 21 points (8g-13a) in 51 games with South Carolina.

Clapton, who won his second Kelly Cup title in 2001 with the Stingrays, ranks third all-time on the team with 322 career games while his 188 career points are seventh.
