Stockton Signs Eaton, Hellemeyer

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Stockton Thunder announced that they have signed defenseman Erik Eaton and forward Vin Hellemeyer.

In his first full professional season in 2004-05, the 25-year-old Eaton had two points (1g-1a) and 61 penalty minutes in 45 games with Columbia of the ECHL. He played eight games with Cincinnati of the ECHL in 2003-04, scoring three points (2g-1a), after completing his college career at Bowling Green State University where he had eight points (2g-6a) and 70 penalty minutes in 77 games.

The 23-year-old Hellemeyer played his rookie season in the Central Hockey League scoring 27 points (9g-18a) in 52 games with Topeka. He played four seasons at Yale University where he had 71 points (32g-39a) in 110 games.
