Storm Receives Lang, Liv From Grand Rapids
Koopmans Reassigned To Griffins

TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo Storm announced that the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League have reassigned goaltender Logan Koopmans to the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League, and that rookie goaltender Stefan Liv and defenseman Gerry Burke have been reassigned from Grand Rapids to Toledo.

Toledo is the ECHL affiliate of the Red Wings and the Chicago Blackhawks of the NHL and the Griffins and the Norfolk Admirals of the AHL.

Selected in the fourth round (102nd overall) by Detroit in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft and under contract to the Red Wings, the 26-year-old Liv is 1-5-1 with a goals-against average of 3.66 and a save percentage of .878 in seven games with Grand Rapids. He is playing his first season in North America after playing the last seven seasons in the Swedish Elite League.

The 24-year-old Burke played in two games with Grand Rapids after being called up on Nov. 25 from Toledo where he has six points (1g-5a) and 30 penalty minutes in 14 games.

Selected in the fifth round (166th overall) by Detroit in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft and under NHL contract to the Red Wings, the 22-year-old Koopmans is 8-3-0 with a shutout, a goals-against average of 2.60 and a save percentage of .919 in 11 games with Toledo.
