INDIANAPOLIS – The Indy Fuel, ECHL affiliate of the Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks and the AHL’s Rockford IceHogs, re-signed third-year forward Kyle Stroh and signed rookie forward Reed Seckel for the 2015-16 season.
In 40 appearances for the Fuel in 2014-15, Stroh posted 33 points (18g-15) eight penalty minutes and a +9 rating while adding 14 points (7g7a) in 32 games with for the Rapid City Rush prior to a midseason trade to Indianapolis. A native of Vibank, Saskatchewan, Stroh registered 21 points (13g-8a), 12 penalty minutes and a +2 rating in 58 appearances for Rapid City, then members of the Central Hockey League, from 2012-14. Prior to his professional career, Stroh tallied 103 points (49g-54a) and 54 penalty minutes in 115 career NCAA games with St. Norbert College spanning four varsity seasons from 2009-13.
Seckel wrapped up his collegiate career at Northern Michigan last season with an eight-goal, 17-point performance in 33 games before adding one assist and eight penalty minutes in 10 late-season appearances for the Toledo Walleye. A native of Melvin, Mich., Seckel potted 87 points (41g-46a), 345 penalty minutes and a +20 rating in 148 career games at Northern Michigan. Prior to his collegiate career, Seckel was a two-time USHL All-Star and helped the Green Bay Gamblers claim the 2009-10 Clark Cup while compiling 110 points (35g-75a), 256 penalty minutes and a +63 rating in 114 appearances spread over two seasons with the Gamblers from 2008-10.
