Boise, Idaho – Idaho Steelheads Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Hardy Sauter announced that defenseman Jace Coyle has been reassigned from the club to the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League.
The Steelheads are the ECHL affiliate of the Stars and the Dallas Stars of the National Hockey League.
Coyle is in his first professional season after spending the previous three seasons playing major junior hockey with the Medicine Hat Tigers of the Western Hockey League. The Cranbrook, British Columbia product has skated in 13 games with Idaho, registering two assists. He has also appeared in 17 games with Texas, picking up one assist thus far at the AHL level.
