Thunder Acquires Havern, Knight

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Stockton Thunder announced that they have acquired rookie forward Ned Havern from the Trenton Titans in exchange for defenseman Dave McCulloch and that it has acquired the rights to defenseman Mike Knight from the Greenville Grrrowl in exchange for center Steve Slonina.

Selected in the ninth round (273rd overall) by the Dallas Stars in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, the 23-year-old Havern has 24 points (12g-12a) and 24 penalty minutes in 47 games with Trenton and two penalty minutes in one game with Syracuse of the American Hockey League.

Under contract to the Portland Pirates of the AHL, the 21-year-old Knight has nine points (3g-6a) and 57 penalty minutes in 33 games with Greenville.
