Thunder Acquires Lee From Columbia

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Stockton Thunder announced that they have acquired defenseman Brian Lee (pictured) from the Columbia Inferno in exchange for defenseman Bryan Rodney.

Stockton acquired Rodney and future considerations in an earlier trade with the Charlotte Checkers in exchange for right wing Stephen Slonina and defenseman Jeff Lang while Columbia had acquired Lee in an earlier trade with the Gwinnett Gladiators in exchange for right wing Chris Thompson.

Selected in the third round (71st overall) by Anaheim in the 2002 National Hockey League Entry Draft and in his second professional season, the 22-year-old Lee has eight points (1g-7a) and 78 penalty minutes in 55 games with Gwinnett while also playing in the American Hockey League where he has six penalty minutes in four games with the Chicago Wolves.

Stockton is the ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers of the NHL.
