Thunder Name O’Connell Assistant Coach

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Stockton Thunder in association with the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League announced that Tim O’Connell has been named assistant coach of the Thunder.

Stockton is the ECHL affiliate of the Oilers of the NHL and the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League.

The 30 year old defenseman played six seasons in the ECHL and had 124 points (33g-91a) and 453 penalty minutes in 299 regular season games and 19 points (5g-14a) and 83 penalty minutes in 48 games in the Kelly Cup Playoffs with Stockton, Florida and Roanoke from 2002-08.
