Thunder Receive Four Players From Springfield

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Stockton Thunder announced that rookie defensemen Robbie Bina and Josef Hrabal, left wing Adam Huxley and right wing Ryan MacMurchy have been assigned from the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League.

The Thunder are the ECHL affiliate of the Falcons of the AHL and the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League. Charlie Huddy, who coached in the ECHL in 1996-97, is an assistant coach with the Oilers.

The 25-year-old Bina has played the last four years at the University of North Dakota where he had 74 points (13g-61a) and 102 penalty minutes in 149 games.

Selected in the eighth round (248th overall) by Edmonton in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, the 23-year-old Hrabel played in Russia in 2007-08 and had 13 points (3g-10a) and 73 penalty minutes in 56 regular season games and one assist and 12 penalty minutes in eight playoff games for Cherepovets.
