Stockton, Calif. – The Stockton Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s New York Islanders and AHL’s Bridgeport Sound Tigers, announced the signing of Robin Soudek for the 2014-15 Season.
Soudek, 23, spent most of last season playing with the Denver Cutthroats of the Central Hockey League, skating in 41 games and scoring 20 points (14g-6a). Soudek added seven points (3g-4a) in 10 playoff games en route to the Cutthroats appearance in the CHL Finals. He also saw action in three games with Lake Erie of the American Hockey League.
The Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic native began his career playing junior hockey for his hometown under-18 and under-20 teams. In 2008, Soudek was selected 12th overall by the Edmonton Oil Kings in the Canadian Hockey League Import Draft. Soudek amassed 151 points (70g-81a) in 250 WHL games with Edmonton, Chilliwack and Victoria.
