Thunder Signs Andersson

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Stockton Thunder announced that they have signed defenseman Likit Andersson.

The 6-foot-2 and 190-pound Andersson began the season with Trenton and had one assist and six penalty minutes in four games. In 2004-05, the native of Thailand played two games in Sweden and had six points in nine games with the Bakersfield Condors.

In his second professional season in 2000-01, Andersson was selected to the ECHL All-Star game and had 44 points (8g-36a) and 65 penalty minutes in 71 regular season games and three points (1g-2a) and two penalty minutes in three Kelly Cup Playoff games with Augusta and also played two seasons in the International Hockey League with Detroit.

Andersson, who began his career in the ECHL with Trenton and Augusta in 1999-2000, has 104 points (25g-79a) and 171 penalty minutes in 238 ECHL regular season games and four points (1g-3a) and two penalty minutes in five Kelly Cup Playoff games.
