Titans Receive Thompson From Bridgeport

TRENTON, N.J. – The Kelly Cup Champion Trenton Titans announced that they have been assigned right wing Chris Thompson by the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League.

The Titans are the ECHL affiliate of the Sound Tigers and the Philadelphia Phantoms of the AHL and the New York Islanders and the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League.

The 27-year-old was team captain for Louisiana in 2004-05 and had 51 points (19g-32a) and a team-leading 172 penalty minutes in 68 games. The 6-2 and 205-pound Thompson began his professional career in 1998-99 with Augusta and has also played for Dayton, Florida and Greensboro, registering 258 points (104g-154a) and 1,329 penalty minutes in 1,329 regular season ECHL games and 26 points (5g-21a) and 196 penalty minutes in 45 Kelly Cup Playoff games.
