Titans Receive Wood From Phantoms

TRENTON, N.J. – The Kelly Cup Champion Trenton Titans announced that defenseman Stephen Wood has been reassigned to the team by the Philadelphia Phantoms of the American Hockey League. Called up on October 7, the 24-year-old Wood did not dress for the Phantoms first two games.

The Titans are the ECHL affiliate of the Phantoms and the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the AHL and the Philadelphia Flyers and the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League.

In his first full professional season in 2004-05, the 6-foot-3 and 215-pound Wood was selected to the ECHL All-Star Game and had 17 points (4g-13a) and 83 penalty minutes in 42 regular season games and 10 points (4g-6a) and 39 penalty minutes in 20 Kelly Cup Playoff games for Trenton while also picking up two assists and 14 penalty minutes in 24 games with the Phantoms.
