Toledo Signs Cann

TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo Storm announced that they have signed goaltender David Cann.

Signed as an emergency backup for Wednesday’s game at Johnstown, the 24-year-old started on Saturday and made 19 saves in the Storm’s 6-2 win against Johnstown.

As a rookie in 2004-05 with Johnstown, the 6-foot-2 and 185-pound Cann was 11-19-7 with a goals-against average of 3.39 and a save percentage of .896. Cann was named Reebok Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week for February 14-20 after going 4-0-0 with a shootout win and an overtime win, a 1.70 goals-against average and a .950 save percentage.
