Toledo Signs Magowan, Ehgoetz

TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo Storm announced that they have signed All-Star left wing Ken Magowan Ken Magowan and center Barret Ehgoetz.

The Storm is the ECHL affiliate of the Detroit Red Wings and the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League and the Grand Rapids Griffins and the Cleveland Barons of the American Hockey League.

Selected in the seventh round (198th overall) by New Jersey in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, the 24-year-old Magowan, who attended training camp with Grand Rapids, had 49 points (21g-28a) and 107 penalty minutes in 69 games with Augusta in his first full professional season in 2004-05, earning a selection to the ECHL All-Star Game. He also played four games in the AHL with Albany scoring four points (2g-2a).

The 24-year-old Ehgoetz, who attended training camp with Manitoba of the AHL, played four seasons at Niagara University scoring 166 points (71g-95a) in 141 games.
