Toledo’s Smith Named CCM TACKS
ECHL Player Of The Month

PRINCETON, N.J. – Toledo center Scooter Smith is the CCM TACKS ECHL Player of the Month for October.

In his second season with the Storm, the 24-year-old began November tied for the league lead with a team-leading 11 points and two game-winning goals while helping Toledo open the season 3-1-1 and sit atop the North Division. Smith ended October leading the Storm and tied for second in the league with five goals, six assists and a plus-minus rating of +5.

The 5-foot-10 and 180-pound Smith opened the season scoring the game-winning goal and had five points (1g-4a) in a 6-5 win over Dayton in front of a sellout crowd of 5,361 at the Toledo Sports Arena. After being held scoreless on October 22, he had two goals, including his second game winner, and had an assist in a 5-4 win at Johnstown on October 26. He ended the month with two goals, his third multiple-point game in five contests, as Toledo beat Johnstown 6-2 on October 29.
