PRINCETON, N.J. – The ECHL announced that Toledo defenseman Chris Zarb has been suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #598 at Trenton on March 10.
Under Rule #49.3, Zarb was assessed a Match Penalty for kicking at 5:06 of the third period.
Zarb is suspended and fined under Rule #29 – Supplemental Discipline.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.
Zarb will miss Toledo’s games at Trenton on March 12 and at Reading on March 13.
