With three weeks remaining in the regular season, the race for the top of the Eastern Conference remains tight. The top four teams in the conference are separated by just four points, but the next two nights could go a long way to providing some clarity.
Kalamazoo and Reading enter the weekend tied atop the conference with 81 points each, and meet each other tonight at Wings Stadium. Both teams are among the hottest in the league since Feb. 1, with the K-Wings going 16-2-1 and the Royals posting a 15-5-2 mark over that span. Tonight is the sixth head-to-head meeting of the season between the clubs with Kalamazoo winning four of the first five meetings. The two teams meet two more times after tonight with games in Reading on April 4 and 5.
The top two teams in the South Division meet tonight and tomorrow at North Charleston Coliseum as South Carolina (79 points) hosts Orlando (78 points) in the final two meetings between the teams this season. The Stingrays have won five of the first eight games between the teams this season, but the Solar Bears have won the last three.
