Trenton Agrees To Terms With
Guenther, Spence, Wires, Maglione

TRENTON, N.J. – The Trenton Titans announced that they have agreed to terms with forwards Joe Guenther, Russell Spence and Mark Wires and defenseman Matt Maglione.

The 24-year-old Guenther, who played in the 2003 ECHL All-Star Game, had 42 points (26g-16a) in 59 games with Rio Grande Valley of the Central Hockey League in 2004-05.

Selected in the ninth round (280th overall) by the Phoenix Coyotes in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, the 23-year-old Spence played in the United Hockey League in 2004-05, scoring four points (1g-3a) in 14 games with Kalamazoo, seven points in 25 games with Danbury and two points (1g-1a) in 16 playoff games with Fort Wayne.

In 2004-05, the 23-year-old Wires scored eight points (3g-5a) in 37 games with the Texas Wildcatters while also playing in the CHL with Laredo, who he helped reach the finals with 19 points (7g-12a) in 29 regular season games and 10 points (3g-7a) in 16 playoff games.

Selected in the eighth round (249th overall) by the Washington Capitals in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft, the 23-year-old Maglione played his first professional season in the ECHL in 2004-05. The 6-foot-1 and 205-pound Maglione had two assists and 22 penalty minutes in 17 games with Pee Dee, two assists in three games with Greenville and also played three games with Wheeling.
