Trenton Renews Affiliation
With Flyers, Phantoms

TRENTON, N.J. – The Kelly Cup Champion Trenton Titans announced that they have renewed their affiliation agreement with the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League and the Philadelphia Phantoms of the American Hockey League.

“We are very happy to be continuing our relationship with the Philadelphia Flyers family,” said Trenton General Manager and COO Jim Leahy. “We look forward to assisting in their player development while maintaining our on-ice success.”

Trenton has been affiliated with the Flyers and Phantoms since its inception in 1999 and there have been three former Titans that have played in the NHL with the Flyers and 36 who have taken the ice for the Phantoms, including 10 in 2004-05 when Philadelphia won the Calder Cup.

“We are very happy with our relationship with the Titans over the past few years and we look forward to more of the same in the future,” said Flyers Assistant General Manager Paul Holmgren. “It is an excellent situation for us geographically and organizationally. Working with Trenton is an outstanding tool in terms of player development and we’re excited to be affiliated with them for another two years.”
