Trenton’s Ruggeri Recalled To Phantoms

TRENTON, N.J. – The Trenton Titans announced that defenseman Rosario Ruggeri has been recalled to the Philadelphia Phantoms of the American Hockey League.

The Titans are the ECHL affiliate of the Phantoms and the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the AHL and the Philadelphia Flyers and the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League.

The 21-year-old, who played one game with the Phantoms earlier this season, is tied for the team lead among Titans defensemen with five points (1g-4a) in 13 games.

Selected in the fourth round (105th overall) by the Flyers in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, Ruggeri had 14 points (2g-12a) in 49 regular season games and two assists in 20 Kelly Cup Playoff games for Trenton as a rookie in 2004-05 while also playing in five games for the Phantoms.
