Turon Recalled From Pensacola To Marlies

PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Pensacola Ice Pilots announced that defenseman David Turon has been recalled to the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League.

The Ice Pilots are the ECHL affiliate of the Marlies of the AHL and the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League.

The 22-year-old has played in two games with Pensacola and has one assist and a plus-minus rating of +4.

Selected in the fourth round (122nd overall) by the Maple Leafs in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, the 6-foot-3 and 200-pound Turon had 12 points (3g-9a) in 50 games with Pensacola, four assists in eight games with Louisiana and also played in one game with St. John’s in the AHL in 2004-05.
