PRINCETON, N.J. – Ryan Kinasewich of the Utah Grizzlies is the In Glas Co, ECHL Player of the Week for Feb. 20-26. Kinasewich won the award for Dec. 26-Jan. 1 and joins Garett Bembridge of the Idaho Steelheads as the only two-time winner this season.
The 22-year-old had 11 points (3g-8a) to help Utah go 3-1-1 on the road to improve to 32-20-5 and move into third place in the West Division with 69 points.
Kinasewich scored three points (1g-2a) in a 5-4 overtime win at San Diego on Feb. 22 and had two assists in a 3-0 win at Long Beach on Feb. 24 before scoring the only goal in a 2-1 overtime loss at San Diego on Feb. 25. He closed the week scoring a goal and assisting on the other three goals in a 4-0 win at Phoenix on Feb. 26.
The 6-foot-2 and 202-pound left wing has scored a goal in each of his last two games to move into second place in the league with 30 goals in 46 games. He has an eight-game scoring streak (6a-12a) and ranks third in the ECHL with 68 points (30g-38a) and is fourth with 29 power-play points (12ppg-17ppa).
