Veideman has spent the past six seasons in Europe, capturing championships in both Austria and Norway, while also spending two seasons in the DEL with the Iserlohn Roosters. The 32-year-old blueliner has also seen action in 83 AHL contests, registering 30 points (7g-23a) in stints with the Peoria Rivermen and Iowa Chops.
Prior to turning pro, the Sicamous, British Columbia native spent four seasons at the University of Denver, capturing NCAA championships with the Pioneers in 2004 and 2005, while also serving as the team’s captain during the 2006-07 season. In total, Veideman collected 59 points (17g-42a) in 149 games with DU.
This will be Veideman’s second stint in the ECHL, after generating 40 points (11g-29a) in 66 games with the Augusta Lynx during the 2007-08 season, earning him a spot on the ECHL’s All-Rookie Team that year. Veideman joins the Eagles having posted 215 points (46g-169a) in 409 total professional contests, while adding with a combined plus/minus rating of +88.
