Washington Reassigns Rookie Morin To Stingrays

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. – The South Carolina Stingrays announced that the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League have reassigned rookie center Travis Morin from the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League to the Stingrays.

South Carolina is the ECHL affiliate of the Capitals of the NHL and the Bears of the AHL.

Selected in the ninth round (263rd overall) by Washington in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft and under NHL contact to the Capitals, the 23 year old is tied for the ECHL rookie lead with eight goals and ranks third with 13 points in nine games while also playing in two games for Hershey.
