Weiman Reassigned From Gulls To Lowell

SAN DIEGO – The San Diego Gulls announced that the Colorado Avalanche of the National Hockey League have reassigned goaltender Tyler Weiman to the Lowell Lock Monsters of the American Hockey League.

San Diego is the ECHL affiliate of the Avalanche of the NHL and the Lock Monsters of the AHL.

Selected in the fifth round (164th) by Colorado in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft and under contract to the Avalanche, the 21-year-old is 9-10-3 with a goals-against average of 3.02 and a save percentage of .903 in 24 games with San Diego.

In his only AHL game, the 5-foot-11 and 180-pound Weiman made 26 saves in Lowell’s 4-2 win against Providence on Dec. 28.
