READING, Pa. – The Reading Royals announced that right wing Dan Welch has been recalled to Manchester of the American Hockey League. Reading is the ECHL affiliate of Manchester of the AHL and Los Angeles of the National Hockey League.
In his second assignment to Reading and under contract to Manchester, Welch had nine points (5g-4a) and four penalty minutes in seven games. Selected in the eighth round (245th overall) by Los Angeles in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, Welch has 15 points (8g-7a) and eight penalty minutes in 11 games with Reading in 2004-05.
The 24-year-old Welch has eight points (3g-5a) and 30 penalty minutes in 41 games with the Monarchs after scoring 12 points (6g-6a) in 31 games with Manchester in 2003-04.
